RCK is governed by a Board which has been carefully selected for their competence and commitment to human rights for all and particularly refugees. The Board brings to RCK a wealth of experience not only in refugee issues, but human rights in general, understanding of non-governmental sector and links with national and international collaborators.

Justice Mbogholi Msagha: RCK patron. He is a retired Judge of the High Court of Kenya. In his long legal career he has acquired special interest and expertise in refugee rights. He is a member of the International Association of Refugee law judges.

Mr. Anthony Njui: Board Chair: He is a political scientist with vast experience on human rights and justice and peace work. He brings a wealth of experience to RCK on project management and fundraising having worked as an Executive Secretary for the Justice and Peace Commission for over ten years. Mr. Njui has also enormous skills in advocacy.

Mr. Sam Kabue: He has immense experience in Advocacy having worked as the Director of Advocacy department of the National Council of Churches of Kenya for over nine years. Mr. Kabue is currently the Executive Director of a Regional Advocacy Organization for People with Disability. As a blind person, Mr. Kabue has continuously championed for the rights of the minority. He brings to RCK his immense experience and skills in advocacy.

Commissioner Wambui Kimathi: She is one of the founder members of RCK. Ms Kimathi has been working as the Deputy Director of Kenya Human Rights Commission until her appointment as a Commissioner with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights. Commissioner Kimathi brings to the Board a very valuable expertise in human rights, strategic planning and programme management.

Ms Jane Kiragu: She a lawyer by profession. She has been the Executive Director of Federation of Women Lawyers and for a brief spell the Executive Director of the Anti Corruption Steering Committee. She brings to the Board a wealth of experience in gender, human rights and management of non governmental organization skills.

Ms Uruslar Pandikow : She is an Educationist by profession. Ms Pandikow has worked for refugees' sponsorship programmes for over 30 years in both Germany and Kenya. She is the founder and former Chairperson of Africa Refugee Education Programme (AREP). She is now retired and living in Kenya. Ms Pandikow brings to RCK her experience in fundraising for refugee work and strategic management.

Ms Enid Burke: She is a writer and editor by profession. Ms Burke is a retired United Nation Staff having worked as an information Officer with the UN for over thirty years. She is currently a consultant writer and editor. Ms Burke brings her skills in editing and writing to RCK and currently, she serves as RCK's editor and trainer in writing.

Ms Abi Gitari: is the former and founder Executive Director of RCK. She served RCK for a period of five years. Previously Ms Gitari worked with Amnesty International, British Section and Jesuit Refuge Services as Country Director. She has an international outlook to refuge issues and brings to RCK a wealth of experience in refugee advocacy. Ms Gitari is a graduate of the Refugee Studies Programme of Oxford University.
